Attend a minyan, pack food, brighten someone’s day, serve a meal…
Help Make a Minyan
It is often difficult in the summer months to get a minyan at the daily services (7:00 a.m. and particularly 5:45 p.m.). Not only is attending a minyan a mitzvah for you, it allows those in mourning to say kaddish. Please help ensure that we are never without a minyan. Come see that your presence truly counts! (more…)

Nearly 150 Beth El congregants along with Jeffrey Jacobs, Mayor of St. Louis Park and Dr. Bob Tift, President of Benilde-St. Margaret’s gathered last Thursday, August 12, 2010 to witness the historic groundbreaking ceremony – kicking off the long-awaited construction project at Beth El. An air of nostalgia was evident at this festive event complete with music from our Beth El band and Cantors Abrams and Newman as well as historic images assembled by Bonnie Heller of the previous groundbreaking over 40 years ago. The captive crowd heard from Rabbi Davis and President Gary Krupp (“at least for the next two hours”). An exuberant round of applause rose when Capital Campaign Chair and incoming President, Gil Mann announced that mountains of paperwork to prepare for the financing of this much anticipated project had been completed just hours before. With that, honored guests were given golden shovels and the groundbreaking had begun.
